The first publication of the project IDEA FOR THE 2017 ELECTIONS analyzing political manifestos concerns the topic of salary level of Czech teachers. The author of "Teachers salaries in Czech election manifestos: an overview and breakdown" is Daniel Munich.
Summary:
- Most of the election analyzed manifestos emphasize that low pay for Czech teachers is a real problem and that the salaries need to be raised substancially.
- Most of the pledges represent a raise in the range between 18 - 20 %.
- Not a single manifesto, however, makes a plausible pledge to keep the salaries at a substancially higher level in the log term.
