New Publication: Who is your major?
IDEA think-tank presents a new study analyzing the characteristic of political representatives in Czech towns and cities, focusing predominantly on political representation in small municipalities.
The principal discovery of the study "Who is your mayor? Electoral competition and characteristics of political representatives in small Czech municipalities" is that the Czech Republic´s residential structure is higly atomized. As a result, the electoral competition for seats in the municipal council substantially declines with the size of towns and villages.
