Bibliometric report for the Schulthess Clinic

IDEA at CERGE-EI has prepared a bibliometric report on the evaluation of research at the Schulthess Clinic in the period 2010-2023.

The Schulthess Clinic, established in 1883, is one of the world’s leading orthopedic hospitals, ranked #4 globally by the recent Newsweek ranking, following HSS, Mayo Clinic, and Charité. The clinic supports its own research department, which produces a high volume of original papers published in peer-reviewed journals. The clinic’s management, while financing the research department, is highly interested in the value of these scientific studies and their impact on the field, following the strategy of “low cost, high output”. In this respect, the bibliometric support is a valuable tool for accessing our output in national and international comparisons with similar institutions such as HSS and Mayo Clinic.
